I know it goes back into the evolution of our emotions and what not, but in this day and age there is nothing much to be scared of, as long as you don't get into the back of a strangers car! Even that isn't scary unless it's a guy with a van and a mattress in the back! But i'm guessing none of us, or very few, have a van with a mattress in the back.
I was just curious, what makes YOU nervous about talking to women?

The idea of being rejected hurts our ego. There is also the fear of, "What if she has a big bad boyfriend..." etc.
But in the end, logically they don't mean anything, that's why these emotions linked to approaching or talking to strangers can be ignored. Just GO FOR IT.

And I do not think you can avoid it : as humans are social, the way we are perceived by others counts for us. To ignore that, you should be perfectly shelfish and egocentric, and not care about what other think of you. PUA, on the reverse, do care (too much) about what women think of them, so go with it and do not think too much to avoid fear blocking action...
