Ok, long story here but it's important to my actual question.. she used to date my best friend. They were the "head over heels" type upon first meeting. Well, she's kind of the loner type, homeschooled, doesn't know many people, etc. After a year, he got her pregnant (not 100% positive yet) and he tried to force her into a 2 week wedding.

She freaked, fled to 3 states away then he starts bombarding her with texts, msgs, phone calls and his family does too. She dumps him then her and I find all this disturbing weird creepy things on him and we think he was cheating on her with other men.

Well they have no communication anymore and she won't talk to him (for good reason). So we started texting about him and just were kind of shocked at all the stuff we saw and we weren't really flirting at first. As time went on, we started texting more and more and we even talked on the phone a few times. It all seemed to be going pretty well, she seemed interested (obviously still a little hurt).

I didn't plan on liking her at all and wasn't even thinking of trying to get with her but somehow this just happened... Well we do flirt on the phone with eachother and we have lengthy conversations so she came home a few days ago.

Our county fair is going on (don't get excited.. it's mostly jailbait and hicks and I'm 24)

She works at a booth and paints kids faces a couple days of that week well I went to see her at the booth and we talked for a few hours while she did her work. She painted on my arm (her request), she was throwing me all kinds of IoIs (touching, etc) and I noticed she kept making the same faces at me she used to make at him when they were dating (she doesn't do it to everyone). She's not your typical HB you're used to hitting on.. she doesn't dress up all fancy, have hot friends, or really talk like a typical HB.

Well, at the end of the day, I think everything went well and we had good convo. Her brothers then showed up and she said "Talk to you later" and just left walking away... da fuck? O.o? No "i'll see you tomorrow, i'll text you tomorrow, I'll call you tomorrow, maybe we can get in touch or anything" just a simple wave and a "ttyl". Since then (24 hours) she hasn't tried to talk to me or msgd me.

I have a pretty firm understanding of how this girl acts around someone she likes, after she dated my ex-best friend for 1 year and she did the exact same things with me. Maybe I'm looking too far into a "ttyl"? I mean, there's two days left of fair but now I'm thinking maybe she just doesn't have any interest in me what so ever? What do you think? Next move?

She can't fake enjoying her time while talking to you for few hours. Besides, you was showing you IOIs all along. My best guess is that it has to do with her brothers coming along. Maybe she doesn't feel comfortable around them or maybe she didn't know what to do when they came.. Trust me, from what you said you are good to go.
