I was in the supermarket the other day and I turned round and was confronted by 2 HBs easily 8+. I went to school with one but hadn't seen her in like 3 years and then there was the other one.

I broke into general conversation with my old school friend while ignoring her hot friend. But knowing full well how attractive her friend was. We spoke for about 5 minutes with her friend saying the odd sentence and me either not looking at her or not responding to any comments she made. When I was about to leave I turned to her friend and said

Me: Sorry, whats your name again? (Said with massive smile, open body language and eye contact)
HB: (says name)
Me: Hey I'm Will (As i offer my hand she grabs it and i put my other hand over hers, i rest it there for 1.5 seconds and then leave)

I then hugged my friend goodbye said nothing to her friend and walked off.

The next night at a club....

I hear my name at the Bar, she comes over we start talking. First thing she says is:

HB: I remember you from yesterday

Conversation went on, we exchanged numbers and we are now texting about going out this week!

Did my actions have anything to do with this?

You DHV'd by ignoring her, making her want you rather than looking like you want her..good job but I suggest since you number closed to not continue the whole "ignore her" bit..it could backfire as she could lose interest if you keep shutting her out.

That's where you changed things. It was the series of lines in which you established an open personality, charm, confidence and most importantly, an extended touch.

Words don't even constitute 10% of what we mean to convey, the remaining 90% is your tone and your body language. Which you did well to emphasize. The touch was the last thing you left her with, so that's what stuck with her enough to seek you out at the bar.

But, the "hard to get" games that worked during the initial woo-ing are over now, it's time to take this ahead with a responsible and open approach.
