I've been working for the second summer at the same job, and there is a girl who has been here for 2 summers in HR (i'm in marketing). Were both summer students. The only encounters I've had with her that I remember (important) have been smiles and hello's in hallways and when she comes by my desk.

About 2 or 3 weekends ago I saw this girl at a friend of mines party. I said hi to her introduced her to the girl who was having the party. The talk was brief, it wasn't until 15 minutes or so later that she came up to me and BITCHES me out in frount of 4 to 5 people. She went on a rant calling me an asshole, my dad (who is an exec where i work) an asshole and all this other stuff that I don't really remember (she was pretty drunk I think, I was too). So I'm puzzled to why this just happend.

10 minutes later she comes back to me and says I need to talk to you RIGHT now. She pulls me into the washroom and says she came up to me 5 months earlier at a commerce social and said hello followed by me saying "go away your ugly". Apparently I neg too hard, I told her I didn't remember (this is the truth). A person needed to use the washroom so she pulled me into another room saying, why were u soo mean I was so nice to you blah blah (her friend was telling her she wanted to leave but she wanted a apology or something). I never admitted fully to saying this at the social previously in the year.

ANYWAYYYYY the following week i emailed her (work email) asking her if she wanted to meet up at lunch, she flaked. next encounter was in the cafe and saw her coming while i was getting some pasta salad. She rushed to the chasier to pay for a drink I caught up to her asked her an opinion about my soon to eat pasta salad that made her laugh abit (she was still pretty hastey). The next week I emailed her becuae I saw her out near a beer vendor at around 2 am (I don't how I keep running into this girl). I said in the email I saw a girl that looked just like her near so and so location. she was all like omg that was me!!! then I said some teasy stuff about I dunno she looked taller than you etc..

A day later I email her again about some BS getting my sister a b-day Present and needed her opinion. that fridayI asked her to meet up again at noon. She waited to respond til after noon saying sorry I didn't get the email til then (flaked for sure) but she also responded with Hiiii and asked what my weekend plans were(4 i's???).

POINT OF THE POST - PURSUE OR NOT PURSUE, I've already demosntrated some persistance but I have no clue what to do, and the whole party introduction was pretty rough start, any suggestion?

What the fuck? Unless you're missing some HUGE details, she's fucking crazy. Next.

tbh i think this girl is takin the piss, she consistently flakes out, id stop chasing and see what she does. if she doesnt pursue you, then forget her bro

She is definatley shy, quite shy. I don't see her emailing me back or coming to see me, if anything happens it's going to be coming from my end. I don't want to go to her area because thats obvious and akward (other people working there etc)... I think if I asked her IN PERSON to meet up at lunch/after she would consider it but I don't know.
