Alright, here's the situation. I can't afford some high dollar $1200-1500/month apartment or room.

How do I find an efficiency or studio apartment (I believe they're the cheapest) in a real city? I live in a town of 10,000 and it sucks ass. We have 2 bars, 1 is always dead and last night there was only 20 people total in the bar. It's the same people every night, same clique, etc.

The town in general is just bad.. I can't be one of these people who are 40-50 and wished they had left or done something about it.

So, I need advice on how to find a cheap efficiency/studio or whatever is the cheapest on going to a real city with at least 250k+ people. If you know of any places or have advice, i'm all ears.

10,000 is a lot of people. Why do you have to go to a bar to meet people? You said there were only 20 people in the bar last night, so where were the other 99,980 people? I don't think spending hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to move somewhere is exactly the most efficient nor effective solution.

10,000 is a lot of people? That doesn't mean there's 10,000 HBs, I can't estimate how many HBs come into the town.

Our town doesn't have coffee shops, cafes, cyber places, hangouts or anything like that. We have.. well one bar that gets some people and we have a Walmart. The County Fair is coming up next week but people my age (24) don't go there. It's a cess pool of utterly disgusting hillbillies and 12 year olds in FFA/4H. However, 50 miles away there was a county fair that people my age do go to but I wasn't able to make it out there.

Also: While this is somewhat about meeting different women, it's more than that. It's about quality of life and living somewhere that matters. It's easier to be broke in a nice place than living in a shit hole small town and be broke.

If anyone knows of cheap apartments in somewhere like LA. I'd like to hear it.
