I'm going to be tearing up Europe for the next month, probably staying in mainly central and western europe and crashing in hostels. Looking for general tips that might be useful for me or others gaming abroad.

Have you guys found language to be a barrier when gaming abroad? Any tips on getting past or using language barriers to your advantage in game. I don't want to limit myself to other travelers.

And anyone had much luck hooking up in Hostels? I'm going for fun and to meet as many cool people but it's a great chance for a bit of game as well.

I think that gaming abroad is definitly a great opportunity, you should go for it.
I actually already had difficulties with the language barrier, for example when i've got a great line, but don't know how to express it well in the other language. But you can go through this.
And hostels are a great place to meet new people and pick up chicks.
