| Long story short(er), this pertains to my roommate's cousin. I've already talked to him about it, he told me he doesn't care if I try to get with her and wished me luck. So with that out of the way, I feel like I am making things way more complicated than they have to be...
We had all just started hanging out right after I broke up with my ex, I got her number but don't text her often. We all (her and her friends, my roommate and I) used to hang out about once or twice a month, usually at the local bars. One night I was out with my other roommate and texted her to see if she was out. She said she was, and told me where they were. I couldn't go there because my roommate that I was with was wearing a hat and they didn't allow hats there. So she asked if I was with her cousin, I said no. She then asked where he was, I said out of town, and she asked why. I didn't want to keep talking about him, so I just told her to meet us at the club we were at later on in the night. She never showed, so I figured that was the end of that.
Last weekend (about a month after I last texted her) I went to my roommate's grad party and her and her family were there. To my surprise, her mom and dad remembered my name, and I got a hug from her mom and a fist pound from her dad. I had met them a few times previously, for various reasons. My roommate's cousin and I didn't talk much, as I was hanging out with mutual friends and helping her dad grill. I did catch her staring a few times, and just smiled and nodded and kept on my business. Near the end of the party, as I was shooting the shit with my roommate's brother's friend, she comes up and says bye to me. I just said see ya later, and she said "I'm sure we'll see each other soon." She was looking damn good too...
So I feel like the IOIs are up and down. Sometimes I feel like she is hinting at a lot, and other times I feel like she is distant and unresponsive. If it is helpful, I could give a list of examples for each, but not sure if that is necessary.
Where should I go from here? Not sure if I should wait and meet her and her friends out, or try and set something up. Any input? _________________ The hottest ginger you'll ever meet.
