And recently a HB8.5/9 who's friends with one of mine has started coming as well I've talked to her a little bit online and in real life and she kind of likes me but she's not taking up any hints and isn't close enough to be alone with me
so the main question is how can I escalate in a large set without seeming creepy?

Find something about her that is unique and point it out to her. Engage conversation - keep eye contact, project a positive energy that says you're interested - but you're also someone who is INTERESTING as well.
The more you can assert yourself as an integral, if not leadership, part of the group...the better. That perception is huge.
