The only thing I could see here is that perhaps she's not interested.
Either you've perhaps spent too long trying to build comfort between you and the girl.
Or... maybe the way you've gone about asking her out wasn't right.
Could you go into a bit more context? Write out how the conversation built up to you asking her out?
I used a tactic I saw in another thread on building suspense.
Me: Hey, I need to ask you something that has kept me sleepless....
Her: I'm not sure whose number this is, but give me your name and I'll help anyway I can
Me: This is Brandon, I know things might be awkward between us after this but I have to know how you feel
Her: Oh, okay. About what
Me: It wouldn't be fair on me if I don't get an answer. I want you to tell me truthfully...
Her: I'll be as honest as I can.
Me:Do you think The Dark Knight Rises will be able to top the Avengers?
Her: XD You little bastard. No it won't because MARVEL IS BETTER THAN DC
Me: You see I knew this would create some tension... this is a guy in a batsuit probably dieing for some greater good. Serious shit.
Her:Yes, that is serious shit, however there are so many beloved characters in Avengers....
Me:Okay one more question Friday or Saturday
Her: Depends (she starts listing why one day would be better than the other)
Me:Alright then it's settled. We'll go see the Avengers one last time this Friday and you'll try to prove how it's going to outdo Dark Knight Rises
