is it pretty much pointless (and perhaps damaging) to keep hitting the bars solo? most of my chums are married or go out infrequently so i have been going out alone. not going to blame my newbie lack of success on having no wingman but it does make one look a little lame

It's not impossible but yeh, being social is one quality that builds attraction, so if your out solo its hard to convey this.

Try taking up more hobbies or joining your local community.

nope, my better days pulling chicks at bars are the ones where I am solo. That way I "have" to open people and be social.

a wingman is useful if your 3-4 years experience or less in gaming

even at any stage of experience, a wingman can be good

it helps you to feel more confident, its good social proof, and it allows you to get new perspectives and insights in game

your wings success is your success. You propel each others game forward by helping each other out

Game progresses by being supportive and positive of each other.

Read Napoloen hill - the mastermind principle to understand this

winging is very useful as the influence of the wing will rub off on you. The trick is to get a very good wing, that is totally positive. A negative wing is kryptonite to your game

I go out solo most of the time because my friends are losers. They are all hoping a girl will just bump into them. Or stay in shitty relationships because they are too afraid to find what they want.

Anyways First thing I do is hit a bar nearby other bars and lots going on. I look for girls sitting at the bar and go sit right next to them. Order a drink and open.

I have not done any table approaches yet. I am still looking for too much social proof at this stage in my game. And I am still only 3 months into the game.

Anyways I have to go out alone. It is the only way to learn and you just need to act like you just got out from work and wanted to grab a drink. Or just say you are meeting your buddies soon.

I tend to go out with a mate and I see people I know quite frequently when i'm out as I go to student events as I am young (18) and I don't stand a chance against 20+ year old males. :P But the reason why I go with someone is so i'm never parked on my own in the club as just standing or sitting by yourself is what looks lame. But if you're in interactions all the time from the outside you just look like your with friends to the rest of the club, and you wouldn't look lame at all.
