Something doesn't add up with 'The Bachelorette'

I hate to admit it but I watch The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. I can't help think though that when I watch the episodes of The Bachelorette that many of the concepts/fundamentals about attracting women just don't show up in this show. 99% of the guys seem like boring wussbags who you can tell are just trying to suckle on the teet of the Bachelorette and somehow they keep advancing in the show and that Emily chick keeps saying good things about them.

I'm not saying they should all turn into jerks or anything but i dont' seem to be seeing any of that fun playful teasing that i thought was pretty much required to attract the girl.

Someone say I'm not crazy here. What's the deal?
