| K so I'll explain my story and situation and my questions come at the end of this post:
A group of students from another university came to take some courses for only 1 month.
When I first met them I noticed they all spoke spanish. Since I speak spanish and find it A LOT easier to be the center of attention with spanish-speaking people I felt I had and edge.
So when I met them, I felt I had made a very good impression, I was charismatic, engagin everyone in the conversation, but wasn't paying much attention to this one girl I was interested in. In reply, she was the one who asked me my name.
Although I didn't nag her, she seemed so interested in me. It's one of those times YOU KNOW. I invited them to join me and my friends to the university bar the next night.
At the bar, I was pretty much playing hard ball. So it was one of those times when a group of people who all know each other form a circle and dance. I would dance with her and pull her to the middle of the circle (show off some of my dance moves with her in front of everyone), talk briefly to her, joke a round a little. Unfortunately there was this other guy (another person they had met from one of their classes -->non spanish speaking) hitting on her and as she was talking to him, I would just leave her with the rest of her group and go to another group of friends with a different cute girl and dance with her. I would go back and forth between my two groups of friends during the night. I would also dance with others within her group of friends, having a good time with everyone. I just didn't want to be hanging around beside her so she could just have me whenever she wanted me.
Even though she was talking to this one guy, she would now and then glance at me. (or so that is my interpretation)
At the end of the night, the other guy was just stuck to her (talking and dancing i guess) and I acted as if I didn't really mind.
Just before I left I told her we should do something (her and the rest of her friends) tomorrow at this fun latin club, which would be the perfect setting for me. The guy beside her invites himself as well and I tell him "sure man" in a 'i dont care' way. She gave me her name and I added her to facebook (several of her group of friends added me as well).
So my question is, from what you read, what did I do wrong and what can I improve on for next time?
Also, what can/should I do next to keep her interested and intrigued in me? What should I do about my potential competition?
Finally, (I know this may be a crazy-dumb question but I'll just give it a shot) What would be a good strategy to get her to come to my place for the night (something slick)?
If there is anything anyone wants me to clear up, I would be more than happy to.
