So i was on the train today and got some IOI's off this HB8. This is how it went:

ME: (just about to get off the train) escuse me, i think your REALLY cute. ive gotta get off now but can i get your number?
HB: umm, i dont really give out my number..
ME: ah, um, huh, ok well no worries (leave to get of train)
HB: wait, your getting off now?
ME: yeah, this is my stop..
HB: (hand out for phone)
ME: cheers, whats your name?
HB: fifi...
ME:(leave without responding)

As i said before she was giving me some serious IOI's and she went and stood next to me and we caught eachother's eye contact on mumerous occassions but i was shitting myself. but then i thought the worst case scenario would always be regretting not doing it so i manned up and did it lol ha.

So what do you guys think of the above convo with me and this HB?
Anything i can improve on?
Whats a better way of handling the initial rejection?
Also, what should i text her as a good opener and how should i approach this?

Then i text her a day later with 'hey fifi, its strauss from the train. so howcome you gave me your number? i dont usually ask cute girls for theres and im guessing you dont give out easily! :p xx' Then she text me off her friends phone because she had no credit and said some shit about how boys from the 'hood' always ask for her number so its instinct just to say no blah blah blah and then i asked her where shes from and no reply (maybe due to it being late at night and she was on a friends phone) what shall i do?!

Texting is NOT the place to ask her where she's from man! In my opinion at least.

Texting is about engaging her emotionally. How many guys have asked her "ey girl, where you from?"

Instead you should've moved the text into a fun direction, tease her on the fact that she just gives out her number. Be a little cocky, a little funny.

Wait a day or two, hit her up on her real number, don't say shit like "still remember me?" or anything that doesn't provide value. Move into teasing and then invite her out somewhere. If she doesn't reply, move on.
