I've been trying to explain these 2 concepts to my younger cousin but have been unsuccessful. Any assistance in explaining it will be greatly appreciated.

Attraction can be created in several ways. Being funny, being confident, being smart, being tall/short, being outgoing...etc, etc, etc...The direct answer is that it varies as much as the women who we want to attract. Finding a balance of several attractive features/lifestyle will greatly increase your attractiveness to women. Now if you are talking about ways to trigger attraction switches in girls, then this entire forum describes ways/routines to do that. Being able to define it from a PUA perspective would be difficult IMO.

Comfort on the other hand is easy. Be their friend, pay attention to what they say and offer parts of yourself to subconsiously link who you are with who she is. WARNING: If you build comfort without building attraction you will be "Friend Zoned" very quickly!

Not the answer you were hoping for, but how I see it.
