I am pretty much one out of my friends that is 21 and likes to go out. I since my friends have girls friends/don't want to go to social places. Should I just go to a bar by myself and try to get girls alone? I mean I've done it a few times but the circumstances were a bit different. Internally I think it's kinda lame going in by myself, but I shouldn't care that much right?

Yes, its incredibly lame to go to a bar by yourself, lurk in a corner, and jump at the first woman who walks nearby all by herself.

It's not lame to walk into a bar by yourself, talk to the bartenders, ask the bouncer how his night's been, clink glasses with the girl sitting next to you, and tell the guy on your other side how fucking terrible the refs call was at the end of the game.

See the difference? In one, you only care about trying to fuck. In the other, you're about being social.

I went to a bar twice by myself, but I was drunk, not falling over and speech impediment drunk but I was good, you know what I mean, then I had a good time. But since now I am driving, I am only gonna have a few drinks in the beginning and that's it. The times that I went by myself I was really high energy because I knew otherwise I would look like a fool by myself. I will try to force that same mentality when I am a little tipsy.

DJ Z is on the money. Ive been out on my own loads of times, sometimes if the people im out with get boring ill just wander off. Its about meeting new people more than trying to sleep with women.

When people ask where are my friends should I just tell them I came by myself or tell them some bullshit story ?

I'm in the same boat as you. My friends tend to be anti-social and when there is that whole general lack of energy to go out you get lazy and tend to just sit at home. I once went out with just 1 friend and he had to leave after 30 minutes so I just stayed out all night by myself. It was actually pretty damn fun.

Once you get over that initial phase of actually GOING to the place, you will realise its still great. Plus it gives you a lot more opportunities to approach because when your with your friends (especially those who dont do PUA) they sometimes dont understand what we are doing at certain times and tend to screw it up by entering into your set too soon etc.

I've had the best stories on nights that I go out alone. The key is to add value to the groups and exit. You do this a few times and soon you'd be able to mix and introduce different groups to each other. when people first come to the bar they end up catching up but after the first hr or so they are all looking to have fun.

Tell people you couldnt get your girlfriends get out of their pajamas and hang out tonite and hence you are out making new friend.

My friends are mostly a bunch of antisocial nerds. I like them but they are no use for me. No way I could pick a wingman. But that's ok because I can stand out from the crowd. Anyway your friends aren't going to offer you a girl. you do it all by yourself. sure you feel comfortable around your friends and more uncomfortable without them. That is the problem.
You don't need your friends for this stuff. Just go alone.

This is my first weekend since finding the forums so obviously want to go out and try some stuff. I couldn't get any mates to join me so was thinking of doing the solo sarge thing, so this thread has been helpful.

thanks guys, I went out last night, initially it was really, almost depressing going alone. Went to the first bar and it was ok, the place wasn't particularly crowded and exciting but I did talk to some girls and some guys. At the end I started talking to a group of people that were about to leave and asked me if I wanted to go somewhere else with them, naturally I said yes.
Went to a better place where I felt a lot better actually showing up with people, I was getting a little bit in my zone. I approached almost every set of girls, except for the really hot girls, I can never get myself to approach the hottest/bitchiest girls. To summarize main events for the night.
1. Went to a bar where I met some people that wanted to go somewhere else
2. Went to a new venue and I was getting warmed up
3. K closed one girl
4. Lots of kino on some other girls
5. Asked for one girls number and she quickly made up some bullshit number so I immediately just said in my head "fuck it" and walked away. After that I didn't ask for numbers which I still should have. Am an idiot.
