I find myself getting really bothered by rejection lately. I need to find a way to get myself out this mindset and into the zone. Any of you mpua's have a technique with high success rate to get the no fear mindset back?

Disregard this post. Found a lot of info in the "beliefs..." section.

Yeah there are tons of reasons I could give you why you shouldn't be at all bothered by rejection. The main one being that if you have your ultimate goal in sight rejection will not bother you. Thomas Edison is a man who knew rejection all too well! He tried and failed one million times trying to make a lightbulb that works. ONE MILLION attempts.... When it was all over he said, "I didn't fail, I just found one million ways not to make a light bulb!"

SIDE NOTE: Little experiment. Start by smiling. Not a big super cheesy grin but a natural relaxed smile, showing some teeth. Get your watch out and hold it for a few minutes...while you read the rest of this.

Michael Jordan one of the best freaking all stars in Basketball in all of history said “I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

Its not rejection that will slow you down, its how you view rejection that will screw you up. Rejection is going to happen. There are going to be those girls that no matter how good your approach are not going to like you. You learn from your mistakes, your missed shots, you just learned another way not to pick up a girl, and you go on with life.

This is all in your mind and your attitude. If you have a positive attitude about yourself, about rejection, about your life...then you are too tough to knock down. Remember its about taking the hits and getting back up, over and over, that's how winning is accomplished!

Remember what your goals were for joining PUA, what are your reasons WHY you started this. Write them down, don't forget them, EVER! Put them in a place where you will constantly see them (mirror, or wallet works well) and remind yourself ever day of your goals. Give yourself affirmations and develop a positive winning attitude, walk out of your house every day with your head in the right place...Don't forget to smile. :) Smiling in itself is one of the easiest ways to get in a better mood instantly.

Side Note: By now if you've been smiling for at least a minute something called biofeedback starts happening, where you are naturally smiling, you aren't forcing it, and you start to feel better, you may even laugh a bit. Great little exercise to use for yourself and to show others.

Peace,

Jon

Very good post, Jon. The smiling technique does work and I thank you for giving me this tool. I'm going to write things down in my phone like you suggested that way I can always remind myself of the steps, the lessons and the ultimate goal. I think I've pulled away from being satisfied with just approaching and need to get back to that mind set. Thanks for your time, much appreciated
