It seems to me that a bit of flirting with the clients is in the job description of a bar woman. But how do you tell if she is in to you?
For instance last night a friend of mine asked some shots, didn't have a preference and I suggested banana tequila. We drunk the shots with the girl in the bar, a solid 10, and then she whispered me "I have many suggestions involving bananas" in a teasing, playful way. Though for the rest of the night even when she had some idle time, she wouldn't look at my direction.
What do you think?

I don't pay too much attention to hired guns. I consider a barkeeper one of these girls. I've dated a barkeeper from a bar in Sacramento. I would actually tell her to keep it for the other customers. Be real with me. I forgot what she exactly did and we only really...just had sex for 3 weeks back and forth so it wasn't really dating I suppose...but I think I told her to get me soda instead of alcohol.

She was like Soda? You need a man's drink.

I said, oh sweetie I don't need you to tell me how to be a man. I could show you but I'm skeptical about your barkeeping type. You're probably flirting with every guy in here. She started laughing. I just put out of my hand and talked to her. Told her she looked like she was from NYC or something. I just made this shit up who knows. She's like lol...NYC huh? I'm like yea. we're ganna totally get married there but im not going to let you bartend. She's like oh really? I'm like...I like to protect my girl from creeps at the bar trying to hit on her.

She's like oh I'm your girl? I told her maybe. What's your number?
I couldn't exactly leave in this situation and going for a number right away.

In my general experience...staying after you get the number is your choice. I personally leave. I can also opt to stay if I feel like it's really going somewhere amazing.
