I'm a little confused with the mystery method steps

hi, i was just a little confused with the steps in each phase of the mystery method. on this site, http://www.seductionbase.com/mysterymethod.htm , there's a bunch of options under each A1, or A2 etc. You don't have to neg, or necessarily use push pull, right? they are just different options of things to say regarding the particular situation? obviously if a girl is standoffish then a neg would be fitting, i understand that.

They usually always neg at A2. Just a false dis-qualifier...
