and she said "oh my god" not in an excited tone (not OH MY GOD!!) in a tone that says "oh my god, how lame was this statement" I am sure you have run into those "oh my gods" before.
how can you recover from these times when a girl thinks what you just said is really lame?

You should have followed it with something funny or something like 'oooo gotcha, since when do i ever have strong connection with girls, pfftt pleaseeee'

Don't feel the need to say something meaningful at all times, and the amount of lame jokes will reduce.

I for one use lame jokes all the time. Not because I'm lame. Not because I'm nervous and it just happens.

But because I'm freaking amused by it. And guess what, the girls laugh at my lame jokes all the time. They are so lame they become funny.

I remember a girl telling me the other day that she was freezing. So I told her "you're freezing? Well, go stand in the corner of the room. It's 90 degrees there."

You get the hint. That was the lamest shit ever. But it's delivered in such way that it becomes funny.

Anyways, the key point I had is in the very first sentence of this reply. Read it and re-read it.

I like what Panda and Slip n Slide said. I make lame or sexual jokes often and get responses like "I can't believe you just said that" sometimes. I just reply with stuff like - "Yeah, I'm a pervert" or "I'm just hopeless" and laugh. Don't take yourself so seriously. I am what I am, you are what you are - accept yourself, trust yourself and women will like that.

By the way, if the girl actually said "Oh my god" in a nasty tone just because you made a lame joke, she sounds very rude. Unless you delivered the line in a really creepy way, there was no call for that. Do you want to hang out with women like that?
