How to get rid of the mindset of picking up girls?

Whenever I meet a woman I like, or be a little social. I always tend to given into temptations of picking her up. I tend to lose focus on socializing with her. How can I stop thinking about this at all times? I also noticed, I talk to girls more easily to whom I am least attracted to, than the girl I am attracted to. I do not have AA, I can speak to any girl I like and attracted to. But, the mindset is killing me. How do I avoid this and develop a mindset of having no expectations or outcomes?
