| Hey folks, I hope I'm not intruding here as I interrupt your usual discussions with an off-topic article. But I just had to post my off-topic article in a PUA site, becuz I feel it concerns everyone who is involved in the seduction arts, social dynamics, the field of psychology, dating dynamics, and the like.
Even tho I'm not REALLY a member of your Community, in a way I actually am becuz I began studying seduction in the 90's long before I even knew there was a PUA Community. As well as gender dynamics & sexual technique, all while working toward my psychology degree. But my original journey was about cracking the woman code. Since becoming aware of the PUA Community, I've kept light tabs on it from a distance (its not a world I'd like to get too involved in, sorry!).
But I figure its about time that ALL of you became aware of the bit of news that my article shares. I just feel that certain people deserve recognition for their contributions, and to have their story told, especially when they are deceased & no longer can tell their story alone.
So, I hope you find my article enlightening, and give respects..............

Wonder Woman: The PUA connection.
by Brett Jett, WW's #1 Loverboy.
April 2009
Every student of psychology or PUA history should read this article.
Wonder Woman is the only mainstream superhero who has any connection to the PUA world...well, other than Starfox, but only becuz his superpower is seducing women with 100% success. But Wonder Woman's connection goes deeper. And its not becuz she's a Hot Babe sometimes impersonated by Playmates, LOL. The PUA sciences are actually her roots. Wonder Woman is where the comicbook world & the PUA world converge.
Its going to be her 70th anniversary, and as a Wonder Woman expert & ambassador, I've decreed that its time to finally introduce the PUA world to an interesting part of its historic heritage, and to give the deceased creator of WW his long due recognition, while also bringing you all on board in getting to know this wonderful character before her first live-action movie comes out. Becuz quite bluntly, there have been misconceptions about WW over the years and people have been missing out on how revolutionary her message is, both in the PUA community & beyond. Its about men & women finally understanding each other, as well as promoting a more loving, humane world. So disregard all that you might've seen of WW in mainstream in the last 15 years.
Thanks to me, the comicbook community has now been schooled in WW's connection to PUA, and so you should expect an influx of interest in our Community by them. And if you email/PM me, I'll send you a FREE copy of my famous literary piece entitled, "WHO IS WONDER WOMAN?"...which will get you up to speed & teach you everything you need to know about the true WW, and burn thru misconceptions. Plus, I'll also send you copies of a detailed synopsis of my WW movie screenplay.
Who I am.
I'm not a geek from the comicbook community, but I do serve as an ambassador once in a while. I am an indie author, column writer, b-boy, former psychology major, WW expert & admirer, PUA, and a perpetual student of the PUA arts & related sciences. And I have written what my friends declare are the best two Wonder Woman movie screenplays ever, true to the character, but will never be published.
In a way, I've actually been a part of the PUA Community from the beginning. No, I don't belong to any lairs or go sarging everyday. But I do keep tabs on the Community now & then, as well as the latest relevant scientific research. It all started when I was in college in the 90's, interested in understanding women's psychology. That led me to doing extracurricular studies of works by such experts as Alex Comfort, Don Diebel, John Gray, etc, and of Dr. William Moulton Marston, who was a sexual psychologist & the creator of WW in the 1940's. I conducted in-field experiments, as well as in the bedroom. And formed my own theories of Initial & Final resistance, and naming them after WW mythological allegories...What I later learned was known as "Bitch Shield" & "Last-minute resistance", I had called "Bracelets of Submission" & "Hippolyta's Girdle"...and that it was the man's job to overcome the hurdle of the "Girdle" before he could conquer the woman. I've had success in college, as I've courted many beauties. And eventually replaced all my theories with those of more seasoned PUAs & got even better. It was only at the end of the 90's that I fully realized there was an actual PUA Community, and have kept tabs on it ever since, while doing my own thing.
But unlike most beginners of PUA, I mentally held an ideal womanly archetype that saved me throughout my trial & error days in HS & college learning the rules of the game. WW was the kind I would marry & forever love, as she represented the antithesis of Pandora (which is an allegory for common women in our world). Unlike Helen of Troy or Wife of Hector who hate war but just sit by, weeping, doing nothing to stop it, WW takes proactive action to stop the fighting while remaining alluring...something that I have more respect for in a woman. My inner game was intact...every surge of approach anxiety, every rebuff, heartbreak, etc, I easily conquered becuz it all came down to the mantra, "They're not Wonder Woman". That's why I never put any girl on a pedestal. NO porn star, Playboy model, stripper, etc, can EVER compare to WW. Even to this day as I continue dating many chicks, I'm still looking for my Wonder Woman...and when I find her, my pickup days are over.
What Wonder Woman has to do with PUA......
The PUA arts & sciences are gifts to mankind from Aphrodite...as is WW. Both promote love & understanding among men & women. But more specifically, Wonder Woman was created by a Venusian psychologist who allegorized his theories in Greek mythological form. No other superhero was created that way! This is why WW's world resonates with reality to the point of practicality. PUA is simply the modern updated form (albeit worked into an artform) of the same science that Dr. Marston worked in & used to create WW. He not only helped develop the lie detector, but studied the gender differences of all forms of venerial emotions. These were the beginnings of the studies in social-gender dynamics, the social-psychology of how humans relate to each other & their differences. Many of our PUA methods can trace their roots to his theories. And I suspect some PUAs (such as myself) may have directly used his studies when pioneering the early stages of the PUA arts...ie. I find shadows of his concepts in Vin Dicarlo's products. Also, knowledge of the various PUA sciences helps one understand the WW mythos, as it is replete with allegories based on various sexual concepts that we PUAs use. This is why many laymen comics readers sometime fail to decipher the messages (hidden or otherwise) built into the WW mythos.
And Hugh Hefner would now be delighted knowing that the PUA bootcamps conducted on his Mansion grounds have a connection to WW, his favorite superheroine!! And now all of you PUAs out there can smile knowing that WW is one of ours. And that William Marston, from all the evidence I've examined...and despite being known as a feminist...was really, at his core, a Venusian. Just as Hugh Hefner is. Just as I am. He was one of us!...and his surviving sons today could probably confirm it.
Marston's studies & sage wisdom.
Dr. Marston was a Venusian who felt that the world was in a state of Ares/Mars due to lack of love, and wanted to change the world by introducing the more tender values of the feminine...that was both his job at DC Comics & the intent behind WW's creation. His family are Venusians...his maternal family's family coat-of-arms even has symbols of Aphrodite in it.
Long before the PUA Community was even conceived, Dr. Marston made scientific studies into venerial areas such as the various ways of how people feel attraction, the psychology of bondage, gender dynamics, courtship, etc. He could rightfully be called a "Love Doctor" (pre- Dr. Ruth or Laura Schlesinger), as he also advised people on their love affairs, getting them to understand the opposite sex, & even bedroom advice (women on top).
However, contrary to what PUAs are taught, that men should be the ones taking charge of love lives, WMM advocated that women take charge, particularly young women...that they were the natural born love leaders who needed to captivate the men of their choice. He theorized that men inherently desire for independent women who have greater dominance power & status, economically or otherwise, and will submit to such wonder women. And this was the basis for how he designed WW. Apparently he was right.
He even recognized the need for training males in how to best satisfy women & the need for them to learn the rules of the love game from experienced players, since the game doesn't teach one the rules...little did he know that decades later we'd have refined PUA arts that teach those "rules".
But the Depression Era was a socially rigid period in history that held tight norms & conventions of what was proper. William Marston was one of the few that recognized that society's conventions were dysfunctionally unnatural, and he defied them. His research into emotions also produced yin-yang theories that explained the root of society's problems & its salvation, all of which he allegorized into his WW comics. As a consulting psychologist, he promoted well-being in people, dispensing sage wisdom on a variety of interpersonal/social topics, many of which we today would call Inner Game. He tried realigning people's thinking to help them break free from the bondage of convention & to live their true selves confidently. He even had a famous motto for people to "live, love, & laugh" which he called the triangle of life...very similar to Erik von Markovik's tripod of life.
Had William Marston lived today, he would've loved the tenets espoused by the PUA Movement, as they are an advancement of his teachings. Many of the psych studies of today's scholars--such as the Harvard ones mentioned in Adam Lyon's videos--were first conducted by Dr. Marston. Even tho the PUA sciences have advanced to encompass a greater gamut of areas, William Marston is owed a big 'thank you' for the work he's done for the Venusian arts/sciences. His work was shunned by academia in his day. Even in the years following his 1947 death, men continued living in frustrating bewilderment of women, yet no one bothered to examine his work, which would've helped them explain many women's behaviors. But I say his work deserves a second look & be put in the spotlight. Becuz in fact, all of his work can be divided into three categories: those that are outdated & faulty, those that are valid, and those that are still valid but need to be interpreted in the correct context. I feel there's still potential in his work that can be implemented to help humanity...such as tackling aggressive ghetto behavior.
But he & his work were shunned all these years, becuz they were considered unconventional at the time. Yet he continues to be labeled as a "messed up freak", due to not only his polyamorous relationship (which is no different than Hugh Hefner's), but his sexual ideas about how men & women should best relate, and how society needs to reform; both of which he incorporated into his WW comics. But the truth was, in light of his advice for society, Dr. Marston was simply the original Venusian psychologist (not counting Freud). He's one of us.
His apparent contradiction.
That is likely why he was a champion for women's power. His WW comics were meant to empower women to rule society's infrastructure, becuz he believed that women naturally had more love energy, therefore would effect a better world while in power. This aspect of his work was controversial for its apparent misandry, which is in contradiction to his intents to encourage well-being for all. His WW comics are replete with humiliating depictions of men. But what most people fail to consider is that William Marston was a man who valued the tender loving side of life & wanted there to be peace & justice in the world, but the 1940's was a heavily patriarchal time period. So his support of women's power was an appropriate counterbalance. This clears up the apparent irony of the same Venusian science that was empowering women thru the WW comics back then being the same science that is empowering men today via the PUA Movement. This indicates that Aphrodite's gift of gender psychology was meant for the good of all, however appropriately.
All the advice he gave women were for the good of society, many of which were what we would view as ways women could avoid the badboy. He advised that women should captivate men & make them submit to their womanly love, and that would collectively change the world. While avoid being beguiled by men, lest they end up with the badboy. He also advised women to control their emotions in order to fully utilize their innate talents, as symbolized by WW's bracelets. Altho some of this advice is outdated, ones such female emotional control would still apply today. Today, women's power is well known, but it doesn't look like a Matriarchy is the solution for society that Dr. Marston thought it'd be. Instead, we are in the middle of a sexual revolution for men & an awakening of our culture to the mysteries of the opposite sex that will change how we relate for the better. The Venusian sciences have come full circle.
The Wonder Woman Mythos.
First thing you should know is that the WW mythos isn't what you might think, as she's been misrepresented for years, more than any other superhero, due to writers' misunderstanding of the esoteric theories she was built from that only her creator fully understood.
Feminists have taken advantage of this & spread propaganda about how WW represents their version of feminism, when in fact she was built from the Venusian science of sexual psychology. In recent times, this misconception has begun to change with the help of aficionados like me who publish exposes of the original WW. The only concept most people have of WW is thru the Lynda Carter TV show. But there's far more to WW that never got propagated.
Wonder Woman's mythos was built by Dr. Marston allegorizing all his sexual psych theories & philosophical ideas. So her world is replete with allegorized concepts that would be familiar to us PUAs. Chief among those psych concepts is the interplay of dominance-submission. Not always sexual by itself, it is a yin/yang principle that is in everything, from the tiniest nerve impulses to the way whole societies are run...its the idea that there is a master & a slave. Who/what should be master is the question that is puzzled out in her comics. Her entire mythos operates on binary concepts, which are all broadly presided over by Ares & Aphrodite. Masculine & feminine, sun & moon, fighter & lover, warrior & poet, gold & silver, yin & yang, etc, and of course, martial & venerial, which we know are areas dealt by our primary biological functions of survival & replication. However, Dr. Marston was saying that society would be far better off if such binary relations were configured a certain way that he calls "Loving Submission", where the masculine side adapts to the feminine, or submits to it...the perfect yin/yang relationship. For instance, a person should adapt all their strength or appetite to the ways of love. WW herself symbolizes such a balance, as she's adept at both martial ways & venerial ways, but she adapts those martial powers/skills to love & humanity, things that Aphrodite presides over.
Dr. Marston was also saying that either masculine or feminine qualities are interchangeable...that men & women can adopt each other's ways, and that both martial & venerial ways can be used for good or evil, depending on the wielder. In Wonder Woman's world, the badguys use force to oppress, while WW uses force to protect people in the name of humanity. Likewise, the badguys use charm (a feminine quality) to trick people into enslavement. While WW uses feminine charm to quell aggression. Her Magic Lasso is an allegory for female charm to render a person fully compliant, and in fact could symbolize what we PUAs do! It is the ultimate pickup device!
WW has a communication device called a Mental Radio, which sends invisible brain waves to her cohorts. This is an allegory for how women communicate intuitively (ie. "Help Me" eyes).
About Wonder Woman herself.
Wonder Woman was designed to evoke love emotions in men & be an idealized version of women...the opposite of Pandora. He created his own entire mythology of the Amazons of how Aphrodite sculpted them to become her soldiers of love (of which WW was the champion) who would effect the peaceful world he envisioned.
While men are naturally the martial hunters, and women are the venerial child bearers, the Amazons represented an exception to our natural gender roles...women who possessed qualities of the Yang energy...strength, martial power, etc...in order to enforce their loving ways which they retain. In a way, Amazons are the female counterpart to the male PUA, who is a man possessing venerial skills to assert his male liberation. Though Dr. Marston never created a myth about how seducers were created. But I've been drafting one on my spare time!
WW was designed true to life with sound gender science & dynamics. For instance, in PUA studies we are taught that women operate on an abundance of emotion. And so too are the Amazons brimming with emotions, which is why they must wear their bracelets to help keep them in check so they can work their wonders. She was designed to be a well rounded person, strong self-sufficient woman. A lot of her Aphroditic beauty actually comes from her personal qualities that we PUAs know as Inner Game. WW is also something of a PUA guru, for she has all of Dr. Marston's knowledge on sexual psychology. She has been depicted encouraging couples to unite, and once even served as a romance editor. All of which follows the design theme of martial & venerial... WW is both a expert fighter & a love expert. Dr. Marston designed WW with such real detail that her personality is 3-dimensional. And from what he has described of her, WW would be a variation of what we PUAs call a "Connoisseur" type woman (refer to Vin Dicarlo's Pandora's Box system). This is why she stays attracted to Steve Trevor, a man who has submitted to her dominance. He doesn't need to be her provider as she is a powerful, self-assured, independent woman. She's also a fun-loving girl who would just love it if someone opened her using a hand puppet! She was raised far from convention, and thus lacks the cynicism & hang-ups of most women. Between her venerial skills & telepathy, she could pick up any guy she wanted if she chose to.
Steve Trevor - poster boy of the ideal man.
The problem with the Steve Trevor character is that after Dr. Marston died, he hasn't been fully portrayed in the light that Marston intended. Fans have tagged him as boring, becuz all they see is a submissive man who needs a woman to save him. Subsequent writers have misinterpreted him, making it seem unlikely that WW would be attracted to him. But if you reexamine the original comics written by Dr. Marston, you'd find that the truth is he designed Steve Trevor with such detail as to contain traits of an attractive man, based on sound attraction psychology...all of which subsequent writers were oblivious to, being that none of them were psychologists or PUAs.
Not only is Steve a confident enough man who doesn't mind submitting to a more powerful, loving woman, but is still self-assured, manly, has his boundaries, & passionate about his work as a "hunter", totally dedicated to justice & lives with a purpose. He has inner game & is a charming, playful ladies man who never has a shortage of chicks pining for him. But he also has a temper & an unforgiving nature at times. This imperfection is why he lovingly needs WW to balance him out. WW seeks to be a part of his life, as her life mission is similar to his, albeit performed differently. Its a love story that has not been fully explored on film yet. All of which would explain why WW is in love with him. Subsequent writers have missed these subtle trait cues probably becuz the science of attraction wasn't well known as it is today. The same attraction psychology that us PUAs use can also be used to explain why a person like WW would not be appropriately attracted to Superman, as most fans expect to see.
In my personal WW screenplay, I fully developed Steve Trevor in a way that highlights his core character traits in order to make it more CLEAR to people why WW would fall in love with him. I also made him a bona fide PUA. And most revolutionary of all, I made him Asian American rather than a blond white World War 2 soldier as he was originally portrayed. Becuz there's nothing in the WW mythos that says his white race is significant to his character. In modernizing the mythos, my decision to change his race wasn't necessarily about making a political statement, but becuz it made a lot more sense in explaining why Steve is the way he is. My backstory for this updated Steve is that he was an Asian American foster child adopted by the Trevors, and first grew up in foster homes where he experienced racism. And so now as an adult, after working on himself physically & mentally with both martial arts & venerial arts, he is ready to take on a life mission of justice & becomes a counter-intelligence agent for a fictional peace organization similar to Human Rights Watch, the IADC. But if my script's Steve is ever used, it would be socially revolutionary, becuz whoever plays the part will be the first Asian American romantic lead!
Steve Trevor is potentially an icon of the type of ideal man that women really want...the right balance of masculine swagger & feminine thoughtfulness. He could very well be a poster boy for the PUA Movement, showing what inner game can do for a man, and to show everyone that women don't necessarily want or need to go to the badboy.
Whoever is hired to write the official WW movie script, I hope they capitalize on this character for all his potential, and take cues from my script. Perhaps even make Steve Trevor an Asian American.
Greek Mythology & modern PUA science.
With this sexual/cultural revolution driven by PUA, one of the things that academics or PUA historians should re-examine are the Greek myths & their gender implications. Many of the archetypes & themes in these myths contain clues that could tell us or verify various gender concepts we know today thru science. For instance, the myth of Pandora holds that women are a confusing frustration for man. We know this to be true, but today we have science to explain it. Or the archetype of the Amazons...they represent what ancients describe as out of control women. Well with today's knowledge of gender dynamics, we know that the true nature of women is that of a wild torrent. Or the fact that men are biologically programmed to mate with as many females as possible, is reflected in the myth of Zeus as a patriarchal deity that copulates with many women. And the Maenads of Dionysus are very much like PUA wing girls. But most of all, the myth of Pandora (Zeus' curse) and its possible explanations as to why men & women have had such lack of understanding for each other throughout mankind's history.
There are many hidden meanings in all the Greek myths that deserve re-examination using modern PUA science. What we find may say a lot about mankind's understanding of our gender roles & may even further advance the PUA arts. Becuz unlike Dr. Marston's version of the Greek myths (which were based on scientific understanding), those classical myths came out of the minds of ancient people who didn't have the advantage of advanced science.
Wonder Woman & PUA learn from each other.
The WW mythos & the PUA world can take lessons from each other. Her mythos has undergone many mutations over the decades, and I say its time she finally return to her roots & be updated via the PUA sciences. Since sexual psychology informs how the character was designed, an update of that part of her mythos would do wonders for her, as the science of anything gets outdated. And it would keep out false ideologies (ie. feminism) from tainting her.
While Dr. Marston's matriarchal dream may not be the solution society needs, the wisdom in his other teachings reunited with the knowledge from the PUA world are still love blessings of Aphrodite that provide better lines of thought. And when you change minds, you change the world.
There just needs to be a renaissance for WW, which includes a re-introduction of venerial themes, for her mythos has suffered from bloodthirsty writing that took the character from being a loving force for good to a hardened, neck-snapping warrior. They also need to re-establish her other role as a love guru. Which would be appropriate, as a period of war & death is naturally followed by a period of love & creation...from death instinct to life instinct. In fact, along with updating her with PUA science, WW could serve as a medium with which to spread PUA tips spoken thru her as a love guru.
Furthermore, I believe that PUA training/mentoring can be a tool to help cure misogyny & misandry, and this needs to be portrayed in WW stories. There is a villain named Dr. Psycho who embodies misogyny. Zara is a female villain who embodies misandry. They both became villains as a result of extreme hurt from the opposite sex. Wouldn't it be great if WW is portrayed curing them of their hate via the love arts of Aphrodite? Love Systems may be unable to do it, but I've already proven it can be done in real life with a few of the guys I've mentored.
Not only in comics, but in any storytelling medium, a PUA education can do wonders for more reality-accurate writing of the opposite sex. For instance, in the past, most writers pair love interests for heroes based on wishful thinking rather than what those heroes really would want. Many have written attraction based on the belief that women simply fall for the handsome man. With more psychologically sound writing, swagger will be added to such characters to make it realistic. With more & more people becoming familiar with sound gender dynamics & attraction science, I'd expect writers & directors to talk more intelligently about women and to stop pussyfooting from now on. I want casts & directors speaking on DVD commentaries with updated knowledge on men & women...I want directors accurately stating what's considered sexy to women...etc.
Incidentally, has anyone thought of writing a PUA movie script? One that showcases what the typical guy goes through along the way toward becoming better with women? I myself have drafted story about the success story of an Asian male in America becoming better with women.
In all the seeking of sexual satisfaction & the fattening of the dating industry, ultimately the invisible lesson to be learned from the PUA community is to be able to clearly distinguish between appetitive human desire & true love (agape)...to separate the ways of the flesh from the ways of the spirit. From there, one is more equipped to recognize & keep one's appetites in check. And that's where we could all adopt the sage wisdom of Dr. William Moulton Marston who urges us to adapt all appetitive endeavors to love & humanity...to control our emotions (especially women)...and to understand & adapt qualities from the opposite sex to properly balance us out. Women need to be more honorable & learn strength...both are masculine qualities. And men need to quell their aggressive competitiveness & learn the feminine qualities of grace, kindness & compassion.
Happy 70th anniversary, Wonder Woman! As everyone now knows that you are connected to the very thing that will bring men & women together. So let us raise a toast to Dr. Marston....a man who brought us not only Wonder Woman, but his revolutionary philosophy of life & human relations. Here's to Dr. William Moulton Marston!
