Cars I'm considering:

2001 Porsche 911 Carrera conv or coupe
2006 Porsche Cayenne SUV
2008 BMW 5 series (not an M5 just mellow normal model)
All would be low miles, stock and super clean...open to any suggestions and opinions
Not that it matters but I'm a 6'1 in shape Italian guy who dates 19-30 year old chicks usually

A cabrio, a suv and a sedan. Answer - motorcycle. Just kidding.
And whats up with native English speakers mixing up "to" and "too" all the time :?

911 or a M3. Why even bother with the SUV or the 5 series?

Im typing on my Iphone...college educated and English honors but I still fu*k up here and there.

Ive leased a 2010 BMW M6 for the last 3 years...Im sick of filling up daily due to the V10 and need to buy something more mellow for my commute to work...plus will be paying cash and am investing a lot of money into my business and house at this point.

1% of the HB's I dealt with understood the difference between a M6 and regular BMW. Most just knew it was a nice BMW. (Nice car not needed...but makes it easier to close HB's in LA where its overly materialistic) Ive gotten the speed racer phase out of my system for a while and wouldnt downgrade to a M3...would rather just roll a 6 cylinder 5 series and possibly save up for a 2nd weekend car (used exotic hopefully one day).

I think the 911 is timeless but seems way too small as my daily whip....still leaning towards it.

Audi? The S5/A5 is holding its value like a Porsche at this point...boring to drive but really smooth. Probably not worth it. I had a SL55 in 2005...got more looks from HB's then the M6 for some reason. Sadly I got more looks in my Mom's 2003 E class then the SL...half the cost.

Most people that make a big deal about my M6 are young guys...chicks just know its a new-ish BMW. One girl thought it was broken because the downshifting was SO loud

You might as well get a BMW 3 series. The 2012 328i gets 28mpg combine, which is better than any car you listed if you want a car with good gas mileage but still a luxury class car and you don't want something with power. And you be able to buy it new which I think will help in the attention department.

Good suggestion. I saw the new three series it was actually pretty nice however I can't get myself to actually purchase a brand-new car rather than lease one due to how much money you lose within first few years. So I'd prefer to buy something preowned

If were to buy a new $45k plus fees 3 series it will be worth roughly 25k in 3 years give or take. If I buy a older originally $80-100k Porsche for $25k or so I'll loose maybe $5k since its taken it's initial hit.

Since I like technology I'm leaning towards something in between...preowned Audi a5/S5...newer MB? Open to suggestions

I see. Tho why get a newer MB if you loose money on it? As far as Audi's not sure if you want an older one I know the newer ones are better all around. Tho why would you get top end 3 series when you can get one for 35k MSRP (bet you can get it for 30k tho), and take lesser hit on the trade in value.

Jurupa: you have a point. The new base 328i with the 40mpg or whatever may hold a lot of value...still it's a small sedan. I would like to see the coupe...it's prob going to be insane

The Prius is a great choice but I hate them

The R8 w V8 is like a softer 2004 Gallardo...the V10 is a lighter smaller awd version of my current ride but just way better looking and out of my budget

I have a 2009 911 C4S Targa that's Guards Red with black and chrome rims! The black rims really sets off the black targa top on the red bodywork! Girls like it but some think that 911s are a bit too "look at me". Thats not why I bought mine...I just love sports cars!

I see you leased an M6 and don't like the fuel bills! Well dispite what the guidebooks say the 911 is worse than most! I get 19mph combined.

My last car was the 2004 Audi RS6 Saloon (4.2l V8 twin turbo) and even it did 24mph combined! The 911 is not easy on the fuel at all! Believe me!

Worst of the bunch in the price range is the Maserati Coupe...16mph my friend gets!

Dont go for the M3 if you have been used to the M6! You will never be happy with it as it's not as fast in gear plus the suspension is quite soft for a sports saloon/coupe!

You know for my next purchase I'm tempted by a really economical daily car (Prius) but then buy a desirable classic car from the 1960s for special occasions and nice dinners! Possibly a 1969 Iso Grifo! American power under Italian coachwork! Best of both worlds! Also the De Tomaso Pantera is an option with the same Italian American recipe
