Basically I got this girls number while on a dating site I've been trying recently. i gave her my number, and suggested she call me, but she gave hers back and said she's not great with people she doesnt know to well on the phone. I want to make her comfortable before I call her so she doesn't find it weird.
So any ideas home to build a bit of trust by text? links or straight up advice would be great.
Cheers!
Txting is killing relationships in general, let alone romantic ones. I agree with with everything the guys have said, but some people don't even check their phone or its messages anymore, it can be tricky. It's not just young girls either, even older ones, girls my age (I'm 37), especically if their alpha business females, all they do is txt or email. However, I think it can be a pretty good ice breaker if you good with it, but yes, eventually you got to get her out in person; also, with our busy lines, I think dropping a quick note, if it's witty, or funny and not desperate can keep your rapport going.
I got re-aquainted with this young girl (25) and it looks like we're going to persue the "dating" thing. What got us back to talking happened to be a long text conversation, but there was a catch...I happened to be on an entirely different coast on vacation...eventually she even said, "well, it will be nice to talk in person soon." At that point, I simply answered yes, I'll let you know when I'm back and dropped it - VERY Imprtoant, I think the real playas would agree with me on this one. We've been out once so far and we're looking to get together for a second time this week.
The only female I have more of "regularily" txt type of a dialogue is one that lives in a different town and travels a lot. And even that I try to curb, I let her contact me more than I contact her...I made it very clear that I'm enjoying getting to know her better, but I'm not interested in being her bff...that's a whole other story though.
As messed up as it sounds, you might get a quicker answer if you txt to go out, rather than call...I think calling is better, but I'm old fashion, it sucks, but I think it may be the times we live in now..
