How to ask her for a drink?

I plan to ask her to have a drink with me, not like a date, but a casual one. But, since we have labs, and we work in two separate groups. Each group leaves when their work is done, without waiting for anyone else. Should I tell her to drink with me before our lab or after? Chances are if her group finishes with her lab, they will leave before my group. What should I do?
