Hmm...this does seem an interesting avenue to go about studying...
but it seems to have a few flaws. I don't mean to hate, I just want
to point out a few things.
When you're lying down or trying to fall
asleep isn't your mind trying harder to concentrate
on resting rather on other things? The intention of sleeping is to allow your
body to rest and your mind to re-calibrate itself, if you're
trying to teach it something while tired or in a less
calibrated frame of mind doesn't that mean the
results vary or impact on the success?
It's a little counter-intuitive? You have the intention of sleeping
but you want your head to learn and concentrate harder while
doing so?
Think about it, if you have a 2 hour audio of pickup theory
and you fall asleep every time after the first 15 minutes
you'll never get around to the extra 1h.45 minutes!
Isn't it easier to just listen to the audio straight-up
in the day then trying to fall asleep to it at night?
I just thought of something right now which also provides a good
point. When you goto sleep and you fall asleep listening to pickup,
aren't you subconsciously training yourself to feel tired or
feel sleepy when hearing anything relevant to pickup?
That IS kinda what your training your brain to do isn't it?
