Ok so there's a really cute girl working at one of my local gas stations but I have no idea how to initiate a conversation with her. Im no pick up artist, I'm quite quiet and don't usually approach random girls but this one is good looking, but not out of my league I don't think. Anyway I've been in a few times but paying for gas usually only takes like 10 seconds so there is no way I can see of starting anything. I know she is probably hit on several times a day and that you shouldn't really hit on someone while theyre working but I don't know who she is or where she hangs out so her work place is the only place I can make a move. How would you go about getting her attention or initiating a conversation with her? Thanks guys.

Most gas stations clerks will have to clean around the store before shift change, catching her then would be best. If not, a slow point in customer traffic is good too. If you cannot get either situation, you are just going to have to build rapport over time and then get a number close one visit. Do not be afraid to hold up the line, assuming the situation is not awkward between you two.

Having the same problem with a girl that works in a pet shop near where I live.
She seems really chatty and friendly but then that's all part of the job...

Yeah the gas station doesn't close until 11pm and gets real quiet around 10:30 so think I'll go and fill up at that time, but I still don't know what to say to her.
The way I see it is it depends on how often she gets hit on on a daily basis. If every 10th guy or so tries hitting on her she will just wave them off, however if she rarely gets hit on then the one guy that tries will get her attention. Especially if she's had a pretty boring day so far. Anyone care to correct me on this or add their views/ideas? Also I know it's her job to be nice, but if she realises someone likes her, she may see that person in a different way, not just another customer?
