I'm introducing one of my good friends to some of this pua stuff. We're both in basically the same situation, but I've been reading and watching on this stuff for a little bit now, he's never heard of it. I think we could each really benefit from someone to encourage each other and help each other out in the field.

but how do you really use a wing effectively? is it better off to do the approaches and stuff alone, and just have them there as support and to push you in cases of AA? or should we constantly try to approach together and work as a team? are there any good reads or videos on this that you guys would recommend we each take a look at?

At a club or bar, there is one way that works, and two common mistakes that people make:

MISTAKES:
1. Open sets together. This is lame. Try it out (I have) and you will quickly find that it is lame.
2. Create a "home base." Often guys will stand together, then push each other into sets. From an outside perspective, people can clearly see two guys in close conversation, then one leaves to go talk to a girl. He gets blown out, and comes back. They talk a bit more. The other guy goes to talk to a girl. Repeat. It's lame.

THE RIGHT WAY!

When you enter the venue, look to your right, and point out a set for him to open. He will then look to the left, and point out a set for you to open. Then you shake hands and say "See you on the other side."

You go have fun, open as many sets as possible, and see who can open more before you see each other again. Ideally, the two of you will meet again later with new friends and tons of social proof. Even if one of you is having an off-night and gets blown out a million times, (getting blown out 5 times is not an off-night. That's just getting started) then hopefully the other one is doing better and can bring his wing into his party.

Divide and conquer.
