I've talked to this girl on facebook a few times now so I figured I would try to get her number this time. She does have a boyfriend so there might be a little resistance, I don't know.

She was around me I don't know one to two years ago and sent me a friend request on facebook after that. I don't think I even introduced myself to her. She was with a friend of mine that she went to school with at the time, so she found me through his facebook friends.

So here's the conversation I just had with her over facebook:


Me: hey blondie
whats up

Her: haha nothin much just finishing up theHelp movie is tooo long u?

Me: whats that i havent heard of it

Her: its based like back when the blacks were treated bad and this one white woman is doing a bunch of funny stuuf to try to help the black people and writing about life from thier point of view.. its wierd

Me: so you're a historian lol? :p

Her: LOl not at all!!! I just had a code for a free redbox movie and there wasnt much tht was left.... haha

Me: should have gone to bluebox then lol

Her: yeah lol.. so whats up with u?

Me: just chilling until i go out with some friends tonight and what about you?
staying out of jail right lol?

Her: haha yeah friday nights always riskin it Xp... and imm gettin stuff ready im takin my baby brother out for chukecheese tomarrow... fun haha not

Me: but if you're in jail how will you go to chuckecheese? i think someone's caught making up stories lol jk but i have to go so we'll have to switch to texting (i put my number here)

Her: kk lol!


And no text. I guess I should have asked for her number instead of trying to push her to text me to continue the conversation or trying to push her to just automatically give me her number...

NEVERMIND.

I didn't go wrong- she texted me! lol I can't believe I got her to text me instead of me texting her or even asking for her number despite her having a boyfriend.

I think the reason is because you didn't show too much interest. You came off like the boss when you said "i have to go so we'll have to switch to texting". You did it in more of a command instead of letting her have a chance to say no like if you were saying "could we text instead?"

Yeah, making it like a command was my intention so that hopefully she would either voluntarilly give me her number without me asking, or asking indirectly through a question such as "how could we continue talking," or so that hopefully she would just text me, the best outcome possible.

I also was trying not to show much interest as well, while somewhat teasing her to put her down but in a sweet way lol.

Its just interesting she texted me after only talking to me a few times when she has a boyfriend. It was just an interesting fun social experiment that went well so I'll def see what happens with this lol.

You didn't do anything wrong and the "command" was perfectly fine and far superior to politely asking if she might text you.

She's acting flaky now with texting though. After the conversation I posted above, this was the conversation continued through text messages:


Her: Heyy

Me: So.. you spend weekends at chuckecheese's lol?

Her: Oh yeah all the time lol jk jk just taking my bro out for somethin special haha

Me: Ha how old is he? (I couldn't think of where to go with the conversation at this point really, I probably should have just ended it I guess?)

No reply.




Today this is what was said:

Me: Hey you can keep a secret right?

Her: Yeah lol i can

Me: I can too! jk jk im guessing you want me to not keep it and let you in on it right lol?

Her: Haha umm sure

Me: Ok dont tell anyone the secret but this insanely cute girl texted me, her name is (this girl's name) but its too bad she didnt have huge boobs though lol

Her: Uh huh?

Me: How is hanging out with the huge rat going?

Her: Thats weird haha not many people have that name

Me: I know! She said she hangs out with rats and kids in her spare time too! Weird isnt it lol?

Her: Well dang lol and i know i need implants haha and yeah left a long time ago too many kids ugh annoying

Me: Lol I was just jk you're ok, i thought that place closed years ago me and my bro and our friends loved that place lol

No response for awhile, so I figure my message didn't give her much to respond to.

Me: So what are you up to?


Still no response.

I had a feeling she didn't respond because she was busy in someway, and I saw through facebook apparently she was with her boyfriend yesterday when I texted her which she didn't tell me lol. Only reason I know that is because for some reason one day I got a friend request from some random guy on facebook, but I didn't accept or reject it i case I figured out who he was later on. And soon enough I saw a picture of this girl and him together so I realized he was her boyfriend then.

Your over texting... If she wants to text back she will.. And your text messages sound like something you saw on a website.. Girls aren't stupid.

She is just being friendly dude, she's not interested. She obviously told her boyfriend about you thats why he friend requested you. If she was interested she would of kept you a secret.

I only texted her after she texted me, and then I texted her yesterday, is that really too much? How else would I get her interested? I figured she was interested I mean she sent me a friend request on facebook about a year ago or several months ago after meeting me, and she had no problem texting me so I figured she would be interested in meeting sometime, but maybe not lol.
