thats what i always figured but his reasoning was that it was hard to get her one on one so if he gives her lifts hell have time to hit on her and she won't be able to leave either.

Giving a girl a lift is not necessarily instant friendzone, but it really doesn't help your cause. In this case I would say your friend is in the friendzone. There's very little initial kino you can do while driving, so he probably has pussy-drying conversations with her every time he gives her a ride.

When I give a girl a ride and I want to be sure I'm not friendzoned, I will hold her hand. First did it when I was experimenting with 60 years of challenge stuff. Basically once she's comfortable with holding your hand while driving, you use proximity to your advantage.
