Once again my friends invited me to go along on a trip to france. All these guys have relationships now, except for me. For some strange reason they invited my ex to come along as well (behind my back).

Last year they did exactly the same thing with devastating results:

darrryll vs ex: flirt flirt flirt, no real results (im figuring she was seeing someone back then but didnt want to admit it)

2 days later ex-gf is drunk and starts spitting out dirty relationship details
Darrryll (tipsy): god dammit woman, stop feeling better than everyone else and get your own life
ex-gf: most epic breakdown ever, decides to leave a day early, "I never want to see you again, ... "

that was about august last year. Havent spoken to her since, now she text me:

ex "Hey, would you mind if i came along this year? would you like to come together and talk about it? I'm in your town a lot these days "
D: " Are you asking me out on a date?"
ex: " maybe, maybe not "
D: " Im busy this week, maybe next week ... "
ex: " We dont really have to, but i wouldnt want a situation like last year ... "

any thoughts on how to interpret all this bs or how to behave accordingly? Honestly i had a feeling last summer she wanted to get back with me (and so did i), but something just wasnt right. If she comes along im sure it ll be the same emotional rollercoaster again (I suck at seeing exes and I still like this one in perticular)

Dude, exes are real pains, I'm having a lot of problem with mine SPAM, so I will help as I can. If you two or fighting so much, and can't stay in a same party and things like that, i would say don't go after, you can suffer more getting back with her just to see the mistake it was.

If you really want her back, go out with her before the trip as she asked, and try to talk things out, at least the rough parts, so things can be easier.
