All you did was send canned openers you found on these forums, got a response, then proved you have absolutely no idea how to interact with a female even from the safety of your computer monitor.

Be yourself, be original, and send messages out to women that come from you. You'll find that it's much easier to communicate that way.

I would not use the "online dating is pretty lame" one again. You don't have to explain yourself, like you're too cool to be doing it, and you also indirectly call her lame with that statement, since she's doing the online thing too.

And actually, since you're doing it as well, you're calling yourself lame at the same time.

I don't do online dating but I have posted fake female profiles on craigslist before to see how guys interact online. One thing you should probably drop altogether is telling them they are pretty. About 100% of the men I have interacted with, when they saw the first pic, which was slender 9, were googoo gaga with the "you are so beautiful "shit. When you don't say it, at least initially, you begin to classify yourself to them as unique. If you can comment on her photo, without it being a compliment about her looks specifically, in my opinion you have a leg up on your competition. and on any of those sites, it's fierce.
