Hey guys

So here's the story,

I've been seeing this girl for about 2 months now. I'm 18 so is she And we've been a bf-gf for about a week now. Since we're fairly new together I didn't think much of Valentines Day and I'm pretty busy I told her that because I'm busy, our personal Valentines Day will be Saturday. But some time opened up so I told her we're going skating down the river trail for the night. Now, all I wanted to do tonight was spend some time with my girl and have Saturday be a bit better day. But, when I picked her up she gave me a present but said "Don't worry, this isn't a Valentines Day Present." (I didn't buy it) I said okay blah blah and she didn't want me to open it till I got home. I get home and open it, turns out its a video game I really wanted ($70).

Now I look like the asshole who didn't buy anything. I'm just wondering if you guys have any ideas on how to pick this up on Saturday?

Thanks!

Honestly, dude...You're probably in really good shape. Chicks usually go for guys who don't lick their boots, so the fact you didn't have a gift bought and pair for is probably a blessing in disguise. She'll now feel like she likes you more than you like her and that, my friend, is where the power lies.

Whatever you do, don't blow this by falling all over yourself with apologies. Maintain your composure.

I'll take your word on it. Thanks.
She didn't seem mad or anything when I didn't have a present. But still should I just get her something big on Saturday?

Or something Thoughtful and ball out on her bday next month?

Yeah, I think getting something for her birthday would be advisable. I wouldn't necessarily buy her something, I'd take her out for an experience someplace...a concert, theme park, something fun.

To me, I think a birthday is much more personal than Valentine's Day, but that's just me.
