Hey guys, how's it goin? Well I'm somewhat new to pickup and I've been trying to get good at it, but haven't had as much infield practice as I'd like. Up until this point I've never gotten a girls number, because I haven't asked. But here's my recent success story.

I was in the mall and was just looking around had to pay a bill. And I decided to head over to the Sunglasses hat. And I went their and seen this Girl and she was very pretty, but just asked her if I was able to get a refill on a glass cleaner I purchased.

Hb: Yes we do, it's a life time deal.
Me: Ok, cool.
Me: So what kinda glasses do you have?
Hb: Well, what kind are you looking for?
Me: Well *Looks Around* Ray Ban.

She then showed me some glasses some of the glasses that they had and asked if they had a pacif color and silver frame she said no, but they'll order some. And I basically tried to steer the convo off topic from here and joked with her and found a pink pair of Glasses and said would you wear these? And joked and said they looked Like a pair Lady Gaga would ware.

She really started opening up after that and we talked about how LG really pushes it in her music and goes the extra mile. I said Ya and said she even went bankrupt 4 times cuz she spent her money on costumes and said my relatives even know her and work for her they call her "Gog" she laughed at that.

Eventually she said like she doesn't really watch Tv, or listen to much music she sorta stay outta the world and just focuses on schooling. I said yeah i know what u mean i seen a movie about the Zodiac killer and got really paranoid she laughed and thought it was funny, and commented abt him. And she said she likes Pshychology and that's where we clicked cause I talked about Froydian Phshychology and she like that cuz she said that's like the first thing she studied in school. I asked her about how the sub-conscience manifest itself in our dreams and she started telling me how her dreams always predict her future at sometimes I said that's cool, I wish I had dreams like you all my dreams are, are about the zodiac killer. She really laughed at that and thought it was funny

But I suppose where I shun the best was cuz I was able to stand toe-to-toe on intelligence with her. And I said, "Ok I'm gonna have to put you on the spot, What's the meaning of Life?" She went on about how she's trying to find her purpose and so on." I sorta caught her by surprise and I think she was really interested in what I was saying, but all of a sudden before I could tell her I got a phone call and walked away than came back.

*How I got her number* At this point when I returned I was sorta nervous and came back and I said "Hey, I gtg in a lil but hey is there anyway we can continue this conversation?" She said "Hmm let me think" I didn't make Eye contact at this point and acted a lil occupied afraid she would say no but she said "Hmm do u have an instagram?" I said "Yea" she actually changed her mind and said "I dont really know you but you seem like a cool guy, I'll just give you my number and the weird thing is I never give out my number."

I was kinda shocked lke Wow how did I do this? lol. But the thing is 1. I don't know why she hesitated. My guess was I didn't seem Safe enough or didn't come across as non-threatening. Also I'm not sure if she's physically attractive to me, she's a black n maybe she thinks how would her family ever allow this? Lol idk. She also said don't call me just text, I prefer texting. So of course I think what's the reason for that.

Additional Notes: I didn't so much Kino the most I did was hold her hand a lil longer in the initial handshake. Also after I got her number I didn't just leave I talked a lil about the sunglasses and than left.

So please tell me how I did, what I did wrong, and what do I do after this?

All in all though I think I did a good job for my first time asking a number and getting it I'm just confused as to why she SLIGHTLY hesitated and so fort it makes me think i didnt do a good job.

You shouldn't go out sarging with the idea of getting phone numbers, the fact that she hesitated doesn't mean anything, for some girls givin their phone number is nothing and for some other means something "important"
What happens to most of guys is that they get flakey numbers, because all they cared about was the stupid phone number. If you want to make sure you get the right number or that she picks up the phone when you call her or reply to your text messages is to create a connection with her. Prove her that you are genuine interested on what she has to say.
