Is it a bad idea to ask a girl to go out first time, on Valentines?

I sit with this girl in my lectures, i havent done anything "friend zone" worthy trust me. She enjoys my company, i flirt with her by eye contact, smiling, jokes, teasing, and touching her hands so far, but she doesnt really "flirt" back, but doesnt disapprove of me either. Should i straight up ask her if she wants to hang out on valentines? We have never done anything outside class, except spend a break together casually(didnt even flirt with her back then, barely knew her still). We take the bus home usually and she gives me a car ride home, she`s 23, i am 21.

Touch wise, i`ll hold her hand and draw a picture on it, which she loves, or play knife games with her... nothing super risky, but just touching.

So overall, theoretically is it a bad idea?

Right now she is playing me a little cold on text i feel, i didnt give her too much attention.

My only thing is, what are you gonna do on the 2nd date? You set a pretty big precedent with that being your first date and the way girls view Valentine's Day she may secretly hope for something more memorable than a first date can provide...

In another topic I'm iffy on our 3rd date involving Valentines, let alone the first...Just hope you're ready for what the precedent that first date starts because that's the mountain-top of date-days for a girl...A bad result might not be tolerated as much than on a "normal" date...

In my experience chicks are more likely to agree to a date and/or put-out on valentines day that most other days, no one wants to be alone on valentines day.
