Hello all i have a question

Im a very talkative, friendly person.I can talk to strangers very easily and we become close friends in a very short time

But after some time i realised this is not a very good thing

I never kept distance between me and people i meet so people learned everything about me (my weaknesses,my private things)

Now i want to change this.I know its important to be talkative and being friendly but when its too much things go in a silly way

How to keep distance and become friends with new people?

Talkative can be good, it can also connote anxiousness.

Are silences awkward for you? If so that's something you may want to explore and work on.

Remember, the empty wagon makes the most noise...

Unless you're in their minds you have no idea how they're thinking of you - sounds more to me like you're projecting your insecurities. Throw caution to the wind and realize you aren't a mind-reader (if you were you'd be a PUA of PUAs). Your own thoughts are limiting you on this one.

Also what is the time to stand up and say "enough" if someone jokes or insults you
