it pisses me off when even girls are taller than me. I am 5'5"
my father's side are all tall, my mother's side, some are tall, some short. I think I have my mother's mother's genes because she was very short.
I am so pissed, everywhere i go, every girl I see is taller than me.

today I was at the shoe store and this girl was trying on these shoes with heels. I told her "dont buy those shoes" she said "why?" I said "because then you will be taller than me"
she said "but I am already taller than you"
I asked "how tall are you?" she said "5'7"
I said "I guess its not going to work out then"
she said "maybe not"
she was so cute, swear if I was taller I would have had a shot.

I dont know...I am just pissed off...is it a good idea to make fun of my own height? the way I did today?

Now, some obvious points: YOU said it wasn't going to work out. YOU were the one who made your height a problem. Regardless she replied with "maybe not" - that was her saying "but if you do other things right it could".

Ultimately, this is all because: You are creating the problem, ASSUMING it is a problem.

Now, don't get me wrong, some women will flat out NOT date you because you are shorter than them. Some women however will find you MORE attractive because you are shorter than them. The MAJORITY of women will be somewhere between those two extremes and will base their decision on how attractive you are on other qualities you demonstrate both physics and through your personality. To quote a common cliché; "how can anyone love you if you don't love yourself?"

I thought of you Madals when I first read the topic name. Hopefully this guy will learn something.

This all boils down to how you interpret the situation, just as larger hefty men have to try a specific kind of style to make them look thinner.
You could potentially try something to make you appear a bit taller from a distance.

This obviously wont help you when your right up next to her, but she wont notice the 2 inch difference when your a few feet away if you keep the attention attracted to something else.
Certain kinds of jeans will make you appear taller in all actuality.

Secondly, try some shoes that aren't very very flat on the bottom. You'll want something with some elevation obviously due to your smaller stature.

Truthfully some women like shorter guys, I know this because I've never really associated myself with many male friends. I have always been the guy who was with women constantly except for 3-5 close bro's.
And I've actually had women friends complain to me that their BF's height made him look to "lanky".

Use what you have, be happy with it.
And if your confident most women will overlook your height (pun intended).
