All men are potential clingy losers.
A magical way to stop a guy being a clingy loser is to actually want him and love him, have you ever tried doing that? Or are you somehow incapable of ever loving anyone unless they're a super-tall, super-hot, super-confident alpha male?
Seriously, why do you care so much how desperate a guy is? Particularly when you must realise that every guy wants sex equally badly & desperately, it's just that some are lucky enough to get it regularly, and you call these guys 'non-desperate' because they aren't quite as desperate as the rest?
Would it be liberating for you to realise that all men are equally desperate, and all desperately want sex, even the ones you think aren't desperate? I guarantee you that if you took one of these confident sexy alpha-males (who you think aren't desperate) and deprived them of female attention for a year, they would become super-desperate - and then you wouldn't want them, just because they had been unlucky enough to go through this hell! So why do you reward guys for being wanted by other women, and punish them just because they're not lucky enough to get sex a lot?
It's just like all people are desperate for food, and it's just that some are lucky enough to eat regularly, while others have to starve. Are the starving ones automatically inferior just because they're unlucky enough not to have food? Do they deserve to be punished for this unluckiness by being denied further food, which would actually make them far less desperate if they were to get it? If giving money/food to a tramp, do women make a conscious effort to give less money/food to the particularly desperate/hungry-looking ones, to deliberately exacerbate their desperation?

I just don't take chances. Some men actually start following you around. They walk alongside me (uninvited!) while I do grocery shopping for example. They're impossible to get rid of without me being a bitch. It doesn't even matter what I'm wearing or how I look. I'm average looking and kind of sloppy and not responsive AND looking the other way and still some guys find a way to follow me around.
That must be a wonderful ego-boost for you, knowing that you're so highly valued and wanted so badly! Imagine how horrible it would be to constantly be completely ignored by every guy you encounter? Perhaps if you keep that in mind, you'll actually appreciate all the attention you get, rather than moaning about it?

Girls get approached a lot, so if they miss out on one attractive guy by looking around, it's no big deal.
I wouldn't know how many men I look at. If I make eye contact, I'm just friendly and keep walking. I don't get to know the people I make eye contact with. But I often chat if it's a normal guy who isn't desperate. I just try to filter out the normal ones.
These super-lucky guys whom you look at - what is it about them that wins your attention? Is it only the tall, hot ones you look at, while ignoring the inferior short, ugly, useless ones? Or are you saying it's completely random?
And how do you know how hot a guy is without even looking at him? Is it a sexy way of standing/walking which I can try to emulate?
