My apologies if this is not the right place to ask, but in a couple of days I am flying to NYC (Manhattan) for my study and will stay here for about 6 months. The thing is that my program starts the 1st of February, which basically means I have over 2 weeks to 'explore the city'. I've been to NYC before when I was under 21 and even though the place seems to be filled with bars/cafes/clubs et cetera, I recall it was pretty hard to recognize which spots are great to pick up girls.

If anyone here lives in NYC or is at least familiar with the nightlife here, could you please tell me some good pick up bars here? This will probably not be a problem from the 1st of February on, but I don't feel like sitting 2 weeks at home at night.
