I've got quite a story here and am trying to get a grasp on where I slipped up.
So there is a friend of mine who I have been seriously interested in for a while now, she had an idea but for the most part it was innocent flirting (I know friend zone non-sense). A couple days ago on a new years eve with quite a few drinks, after a night of strike outs at the party I approached her and after a sappy conversation we were making out. It didn't go further then that and a couple days later we arranged a date. After about an hour of her discussing self emotional conflict about how she likes me but has some bad gut feeling, she says fuck it and we end up fooling around a bit.
While we are fooling around she stops and says "Yeah I'm not feeling it", she did not mean pleasure wise (trust me on this one), she meant her and I.. "She wasn't feeling an urge of attraction?" And that was it. I have assumed it has been a botched attempt due to the fact that I was established as a friend long ago but it still does not make sense to me, and has definitely ruined my day.
I know I'll be able to get over it, and move on with my life, however what would make that kind of thought occur, if anything its this damn sense of failure that is going to keep dragging me down.
This is an odd medium of expression but any advice and or comments that could help me now, and later are appreciated.

Then you got drunk so you could get over her ugly face so you can at least stick your tongue down somebody's throat for the sake of upholding a holiday tradition.
I know in your mind that ^this is not reality but really . . . it's kind of tough for a girl to get turned on by a 'friend who stalks'. . . which is what you were. She's a darling for having put up with you for this long and even giving you a little sexual pleasure.
It's a good idea to think about how your actions will affect and be perceived by another person once in a while.
