There's a girl I like who I will see at the start of Spring term and I want to do the following:

When I see her, greet her with a happy new year (we havn't made contact at all recently) but I will play it out like I am having fun with it, then give her a polite kiss on the cheek left and right (like the British way when you meet someone after a while).

Do you guys think this is okay? The reason I wanna do this is to maintain physical contact throughout our short interactions, and as long as I do it like I'm having fun with it, is that cool?

absolutely dude. It shows a lot of confidence, and most other guys she talks to dont do it. Just realize that this is what you want to do, and and your gonna do it. doing what you want to do without fear of what other people think is a very attractive quality in a man. Dont take it too seriously, just relax, act like the kisses are no big deal, and have fun with it. Trust me, your happiness and excitement is contagious, just have fun with it.

FWIW, 2 kisses is not British, we do 1. You might be thinking French (although some parts of France have 3 kisses).
