If a girl says to you "hey, how are you?" what's a good response other than the generic "I'm fine" or "good." I need something that'll make her think "huh, this guy's different..." if I just say "I'm okay, how about you?" I won't be memorable to her.

This is something I'm asked hundreds of times at work with co-workers and customers. Same thing with "what's going on?" I don't wanna say "not much" or anything like that. How would you reply to "what have you been up to?"

"what's going on?"

or

"what's up?"

or

"hey, how's it going?"

...are all PERFECT for really funny responses that you create a pool of to choose from.

i'm not much for routines...

BUT

when you are asked the same thing 1000 times per day, that IS routine.

so, it pays to have some funny, thought out responses waiting.

examples:

- "hey, how's it going?"

--- "bad, my dog died"

- "oh, no!"

--- "yah, it's been ten years, but i'm still shaken up"

or

- "oh, no, when?"

--- "at least ten years ago, but i'm still pretty shaken up"

LOL

that's the kind of shit i say on a routine basis

If she's a girl you're comfotable with "aaaah, was better until you showed up" SMILE, be playful.

Some girls like to be hit on, "better, now that you showed up" SMILE, if she gives you that youre an AFC look, say "I was joking, the way you got sooo excited from hearing that"

Ha, that's a good one but I get "what have you been up to lately" and honestly my life isn't too exciting I hang with friends here and there, work, school, pretty boring. I don't want to come off as someone who's not fun.

Every time I go to work and say hi to my manager, I get asked "how are you" and I always try to change it up, but I'm running out of things to say. This one girl was like "what's up homie what's going on" and I just said something lame like "stressing over school." She called me homie which is weird, maybe I'm stuck in the friend zone. Shit.

You don't have to give original answers constantly. When you meet your manager 5 times a week, even original stories get boring. Skip the question ("fine, you?" "fine") and jump to something more interesting.
