Well my neighbor braided my hair one time i asked her,( i was practicing 3 second rule like crazy),came back later and went into her house,her kid was there and i was friendly to him but i still felt a little nervous,when she started braiding my hair we started talking and i decided to just at least try to have fun. We had a fun conversation and she VERY soon started going off on how she loves hispanic men(im hispanic) and why,she was kinda sweet but still a slight smartass herself. It went to my head and the conversation died down a bit lol. That was a couple months ago,and we hugged everytime she saw me after,i started seeing her around less once i started working though,and now its just a hi every so often. Anytime we do have small talk,she smiles alot and is into the conversation though. She saw me with my ex a couple times and everytime they would gang up on me a bit when we made smalltalk too lol. Is she interested or am I reading too much into it?

I like this situation. In fact I see all the signs that she likes you and you should go for it. Here are my clues and reason behind them.

1. She braided your hair. Her braiding your hair when you asked her to tells me that she doesn't dislike you and are willing to even touch you. Lots of girls unless it's their job professionally would not want to be touching on no guys head fearing from lice, dandruff, or other things. (not saying you have any of that) but just in general girls for the most part are clean freaks and don't like "dirty jobs" or touching on guys they don't really like or feel some kind of connection to.

2. You are a neighbor so you are already familar to her which is already ahead of the game. You not some random guy down the street or around the corner. Girls are more comfortable with people around their social circle. And beleave it or not you are part of that being that you are a neighbor.

3. You said she had a kid and you interacted with it. Thats a good sign and test single moms throw at you. They want to see how you interact with their kids. Because females are hardwired to look for a mate that will protect not only her, but her kids too. Since you didn't seem threating and was nice, you passed that test.

4. Then her making the statement that she likes hispanic men. She basically was telling you indirectly that you qualified as date-able as far as she is concerned. So if you was to try to hit on her I think your chances would be above 50%. And her being sweet but yet kinda of a smartass toward you are what you should already know about. "Negs" See you have to remember females are almost born with these very tactics we use against them. So in a sense they are pros from the start. And until you become a pro, you will not see any of these tactics as well as some of us pros. But knowing about the tactics will help you get the ladies, because you will learn how to spot them out faster.

5. Then you said everytime you do see each other and engage in small talk. She is really into the conversation smiling alot, rather it is bullshit or actually interesting. Females start doing that when they really like a guy. They kinda gaze so they can collect as much info about you as they can to learn more about you. Otherwise they just basically lose interest in what you saying and end the conversation before you do. And last her seeing you with your ex tells her you are not really chasing her and looking desperate. So when your ex does come over and she is around they kind of gang up on you. Females do this when they are around an Alpha Male to see if you can handle the pressure.

These are 5 STRONG indicators that you should go for her. I would prolly ask her if she likes movies. Then ask her if she would like to watch one with you over her place. I would try to set it up so that I come over after she has put the kid to bed. Then put on a movie so that you can cuddle alittle. Then once you get past all that just go in for the kill. I'm almost sure things will go your way.
