Keep in mind it has been 7 months or so since this happened and we have a great relationship before and since.

Is this even a shit test? If I was to "not react to it" or make it sound absurd, like by saying "oh yeah, those guys are great for the once a year grab for something high on the shelf" all women just go yeah i know but i think its hot.....

AND THAT IS DISRESPECT, its like saying blondes are smoking in front of your brunette gf! I couldnt take this one laying down. I don't think its qualifying myself in her eyes by saying that I AM HAPPY WITH MY OWN HEIGHT.

afterwards she apologized, said she shouldnt have said that, said she loved me and thought i was hot too, and just because she thinks one thing is hot as well didnt mean she didnt think i was. in fact, she was in tears.

my ex used to pull that shit all the time.

Thank god I got rid of her. I'm 5'11 and was mocked for being "short".

Maybe i have a complex about this, but damn I hate women who make any kind of comment about height.

My response would have been: " I don't normally date girls your height in the first place, but you seemed like a cool girl so I made the exception."

any comments about traits that you can't change are a bitch move imo.

you can change your hair, style, body, etc. but it's uncalled for to say something like that.

I get why shorter guys have an issue with the height thing when it comes to girls, tho getting all uptight about it ain't going to do you any favors and will show you are insecure about your own height. In my opinion I think the height thing can be curbed some if you short guys stop getting all up in arms with it. As it only adds fuel to the fire really. Because it will only drive more girls to us taller guys as they see you short guys with height issues and its a loose loose for you guys, and a bigger win for taller guys.
I think you have to learn that girls will find other guys attractive in some manner no matter what. It may have been in bad taste to say what she said depending on the context of the conversation. Tho I don't think it was a shit test really, if anything a brain fart as she spoke without thinking, it does happen you know.

I'm like 5"6 or 5"7 and most of my girlfriends were taller than me... It really doesn't bother me.

And once I did get a similar comment to which I responded "tiny but shiny" with a big smirk on my face... she pulled me to bed after that phrase
