So I just finished reading The Game and the ending was quite shocking.


Tyler Durden and others made the community about making money.
Neil Strauss also commented on the fact that Tyler Durden and the RSD crew would sarge but with little to no success("The girls they would bring home would eventually be creeped out and leave"). Meanwhile, him and Mystery seemed to have fairly decent success.

I guess what I'm asking is, what is the point of all this?
What is the best way to approach it?
What were the intentions of Neil Strauss' book?
Why are you pursuing this?


I have tried some of this stuff and with positive results so the ending left me fairly confused.

I got the game as a birthday present from my older sister when I was in highschool.

As far as the storyline goes I don't remember much but I think its important to note that the story is in the perspective of Neil Strauss and he obviously didn't like some of the individuals he mentioned. So it is only logical he paints a negative image of these people so you need to take everything with a grain of salt imo.

My intentions from the book was to get back to wheeling girls with ease and having many options, I was at a time in my life where I was going through a transition and I was wondering what I did back then that I wasn't doing at the present.

Ultimately I am at the stage where I have tons of gorgeous female friends. I do not use routines, I do not use negs I don't peacock. I just act and internalized the alpha male within me. I think guys (as well as tons of guys on this forum) over think things too much worrying something is a shit test and they'll "fail", they worry to much about this ONE girl they are trying to impress and how to respond to X/Y text with a witty response.. At the end of the day what I got most out of the book is that you need to have an attractive lifestyle and hobbies so you become a well rounded person who goes out and has a big network of friends in your social circles. Your focus shouldn't be on trying to impress anyone. I don't give negs because if a girl thinks she's hot shit, she's not worth my time in the first place. If a chick is playing too many games with you, you leave and find another one and come back to her when she is serious. The Game gave me the confidence I had back when I did things naturally.
