I've recieved feedback from multiple sources that many of the tactics i used got bad results with certain people, commenting that i was "pretentious" or a dick / cocky. I know this is probably rooted with the fact that much of the first PUA material i discovered was David DeAngelo, but one girl last night even said I was a twat (could've been a shit test). Point is, i dont want to really come across as cocky, but confident and attractive, and i know i shouldnt take everything everyone says serious, but this is a trend i've been seeing. I'm also fairly good looking, fit, etc if that plays into it.

Either way, how can i change this?

P.S. Some of the material i used was busting on a girl, teasing her (a bit mercilessly maybe) and some DHV status updates such as "Thinks brunettes do it better" (Got hate from one blonde) and "Is officially ________'s #1 bachelor "

C&F is a tough one which takes some good amount of time to get it right. It took me a while and in the beginning the chances are you'd come across as a douche bag.

(1) So practice it online until you get right.

(2) Also, initially try to make all your jokes on yourself or on a third person or anything abstract so that no one is hurt.

(3) "Thinks brunettes do it better" is not C&F

(4) Just copy the lines by David D for word to word without inventing your own. That way you run a lower risk of messing up atleast the lines.

No, yeah i know brunettes isn't C&F but the point is, i don't really go for C&F much, but yeah i will take a gaze over at his stuff again.
My goal is to go through natural game, or using as little canned material as much, focusing alot on body language (Which i'm learning) and general self improvement / inner game, and i was wondering if anyone can help me how to change from coming across as cocky to just plain confident.

BL: usually i walk with my arms by my sides, chest high, back straight, and not too fast, just like i'm going for a stroll, with a gentle swing of my arms.

In terms of interaction, usually i just give a girl an "Oh really? is that right :p " kind of reply, to some of the things she does, i physically tease alot like nudging her into things, and bumping her hips with mine (Which i dont think is cocky or anything) but I'd been trained to hold my head high, and now i feel i went a little over the edge, and stuff, and just want to find the balance - as i mentioned i want to go natural, integrated into my personality.

Sounds like your just picking on random women. When you pick on them they feel that your insecure about yourself so you have to bring them down to your level.
Try doing the F part of C&F, just doing one will not work. Also try not putting women down, they tend to respond badly to that :\

The best way to not used canned material, is to use it a lot. Once you see what works and what doesn't for yourself then you can start making your own lines; but just learning about PUA and trying to be 100% natural rarely works. Steal some lines and slowly morph them into your own

If your a good looking guy, drop the cocky funny all together. There is humor in it, when ugly guys do it. But when hot guys do it, it does not calibrate well.

I am fairly good looking guy myself, I never use cocky and funny.

if you don't like being cocky then do not be cocky

if you do not care about it cou can do both..

just do not care what other people want you to be... just be what you want to be - a few woman are not worth changing into something you do not like
