How to approach?

There is agirl I ilike working in same bulding i work, she is part of company which owns the bulding. I rarely see her, she works in a different floor
so i do not have much chances to meet her, however we have a common friend in Facebook. How do you think is the best way to approach her? Do you suggest me to add her to Facebook ?

Whenever you have the opportunity to approach her in person take it. Facebook is a terrible alternative to in person.
