I have a specific situation that relates to a general issue.

I was introduced to this girl by my godfather through email because I am now living in a new city and she was dropping by. We talked for some time, some general doubts about travelling abroad and got pretty close.

She stayed home and slept right next to me I was able to kiss for a while, but she is more of the BF type or extremely religious, that could be discussed in another topic. Either way, we are still in touch, but she decided to put this ridiculous nickname something like "Little Vegetable" because when she stayed I had to do a specific vegetable diet.

She is quite ok, and I guess she could be a good friend. (I really don't mind having girl friends and most of them are girls I tried to escalate and still remained by my side, and in the end I get introduced to their friends establishing my interests from the beggining).

But that annoying nickname? I tried to tease her back but I only think about agressive material and I want to do it smoothly.

Any ideas?

Just think of something equally silly and random and call her that.. one day call her "pickle tree" and the next day call her "ps2 apple bathtub", make it a game, have fun with it.. Thats what shes trying to do anyway. If it really annoys you, just tell her I guess

Most nicknames from girls are meant to be flirty, unless they're overtly mean "fatty, ugly" ect.
Girls have worse game than you, so they are going to be worse at teasing/flirting. Like guru said give her a nickname and when she brings up yours if you don't like it tell her that "hmm I don't think that one fits me" and have her think of a different one. It's that simple
