i think opinion openers are best at a library, you can always seek help with your studies as a way to propel your self into a conversation and then you can comment like you said on her sonic youth shirt
I used to use an opener that went like : "Hey, im writing a paper for my psycology class and i was wondering, do most women prefer older guys or younger guys" then i went into what she was into and then we had a conversation, blah blah escalate from their.
