I just do stuff around girls and they say I'm being mean when I'm just teasing them. Is this good or bad? what should I do?

Usually a shit test. Don't play into it.

Girl: "You're being mean..."

You: "Can't you handle it? Oh, I just remember, let me ask you...."

Change the topic and move on.

This happened to me today:

girl "You are such a jerk. At least I've been warned in advance"
me "Well then it wasn't such a shock. (smiling)"
girl "But they actually told me after I met you."
me "Traitors! They should've kept that a secret. (playing angry)"
girl "Too bad. It's funny how everyone here (uni) says the same about you. You've got yourself a great reputation."
me "Are you asking that many people what do they think about me? "


Then she went into qualifying herself.

Basically, some girls sooner or later tell me I'm an egoist/arrogant/jerk, etc. I take it as IOI and keep playing.

I would appreciate if someone experienced could share his opinion on this matter.

remember that there's a huge difference between Cocky&funny and being arrogant and pretentious.
Having confidence and presenting yourself in a good fashion with a bit of cockiness and humour is great. some girls will try and tease you about it to see if you snap and reveal a sensitive and soft side, and thats good cause they're just checking to see if you're the real deal.
On the other hand, being arrogant and bragging usually repels alot of people and isnt something i'd recommend.
When a girl says you're a jerk/egoist/arrogant guy, try and think about why she said that.
If you're just being natural and confident about yourself, just deflect that remark with a grin and continue.

That's it. They shit-testing me. Of course not every time. Sometimes I just went too far, especially in the early days.

Definitely depends on how they say it. "You're mean" playfully...means keep going. "You're mean" and a serious look..means give them one more to make sure you don't seem weak...and then throw in some actual "real" conversation.
