Hi, I'm new to much of this stuff, so I hope you don't mind me asking a really newbie question.

So, I've basically gotten to the point where making eye contact with women does not cause nervousness or anxiety anymore. I enjoy going out now and looking women right in their eyes and smiling, and when they turn away or don't respond, it does not bother me anymore. It actually has surprised me how often they smile back and I've begun following up and starting conversations with them.

However, there are situations where, I am standing in line somewhere or turning around a corner (it happens most often at my local grocery store) where I turn my head to look around, my gaze passes by a woman, and I see her quickly turn her face away from me. This happened to me today at the grocery store with a fairly attractive woman (unfortunately she was in another line and I was already at the checkout counter).

Actually, also today, a woman took a glance at me down the hallway, and rather demonstratively averted her gaze to the floor (specifically, her eyes were shifted diagonally and downwards, like she was trying to somehow look at me from the corner of her eye, but avoiding direct eye contact).

Back in the day, I would have thought that both of these reactions would have meant they were repulsed by me. But, now, I'm not so sure. The thing is, I physically stand out (I am 6 and a half feet tall and Asian), so sometimes I wonder if they are just staring at me out of curiosity and get embarrassed when I catch them gawking at me. But, other times, I wonder if they are just shy and are interested, but afraid to maintain eye contact.

What do you guys think?

I'm going to guess that they are afraid to make extended eye contact with you because they don't want to seem intimidating or too interested.

Approaching them is the only way you can know for sure, though!

When women divert eye contact they are submitting to your dominance, which means they are easier to game since they have some attraction towards you already; the worse thing that can happen is she maintains eye contact and you look down. Make sure it's not a creepy stare but a "i notice you" instead and game on!

Thanks guys for the feedback. I'm guessing even if they turn away quickly, it is still a coinflip whether there is attraction, but at least them flustered provides a little opening to start gaming.

I like the way you put that charblad. It seems like every time I've seen a new woman they do something like that. I used to feel like they were repulsed by me - it really hurt my confidence with women for a long time. Then, as I had more interaction with women, I thought they were "acting" uninterested. But to say they are actually submitting is quite interesting.

What about women who see you, start beaming and smile?

Is it advisable to wink at a girl if she has maintained eye contact for a pretty long time?

Unless you've seen the lesson on how to wink i wouldn't think so, theres a way you have to do it to not seem like your that creep who thinks hes gunna get her in bed tonight (even if you are XD)
If women see you and beam/smile then they're prematurely thinking "Friendzone". Althought you don't ALWAYS get friendzone'd they are saving a spot for you - now if a woman see's you, smiles/beams and looks away then you are not only the alpha she's already way into you so just a simple thing as where she looks can take you two different places

I learned this while studying a few points on human body language. While making eye contact with a woman if she immediately looks up shes feels her value is a lot higher than yours

If she looks left or right, shes just not interested.

If she looks down, she wants your cock. aka shes interested

Hope that helps

I also suspect speed is a factor. If you turn your head and she jerks her head quickly to the left and right, she probably was staring at you. If she casually turns her face away, she definitely is not interested.

But I might be wrong.

I had the same question! I always wondered. But here's what happens to me more..

I'll look at a girl and she's already looking at me, then after a second or two I'll slowly look away or go back to whatever I was doing, and she is still staring right at me. I don't really think it's creepy, but I always wondered what that meant.

Maybe you had some insight? Like you, I am tall too 6'4" so while shorter I still draw attention to myself.

@ rb83

As an extremely tall person, I get looks all the time, from women and men. A lot of times, it is just curiosity. But, there are times when I am pretty sure it is born from attraction, especially when they smile and then turn their eyes down.

For me, the ambiguity arises when they jerk their head away without a smile or turn their head to the side.

If they just stare, it could mean anything, I think. Probably a coin flip, but at least it is an invite to approach, and that should be enough.

For example, today, I walked into the elevator at my office and a woman was standing there. I made incidental eye contact, she smiled, and I started talking to her without even thinking. It has become really automatic and reflexive for me. I wasn't even interested in the woman. This is massive improvement for me as compared to a month ago. I'm just starting my journey, but I am feeling optimistic.

When you a girl checks you out it equals the same for when we check a girl out. It's the most obvious sign of interest.
